Profile

I am a storyboard artist from the UK, England. I have always enjoyed creating immersive stories with compelling and complex characters. Storytelling has always been a focus of mine and I enjoy any project where I’m able to use my skill to illustrate scenes and bring them to life.

Experience

I’ve studied animation at Middlesex University for 4 years. During this time, I’ve worked with the Postal Museum of London to storyboard a short film. Additionally, I have also done commission illustrations for a client.

Obeah Duppies Demise
Production Bible

Obeah Duppies Demise is a personal project of mine which I used for my final major project during my final year of university. I decided to approach my project as an Animated series pitch in the form of a storyboard portfolio; this included a Production Bible, character designs, storyboards and an animatic.

Obeah Duppies Demise

These are the storyboards I created for Obeah Duppies Demise, some shots were taken out during the making of the animatic so here is how it was originally going to be.

Animatic

The final animatic took a little over 6 weeks to create, it was a very long but fun process. The original ending was scrapped as I preferred an ending where the camera pans to a shot of the moon which parallels the beginning of storyboard 2.

Rivalry Storyboards

During the making of Rivalry, the film was divided into three parts; Past, Present and Future. It was my job to board and animate the present while my other two classmates had to board and animate the past and future. Though the student in charge of the future was struggling so I decided to board the future as well while he animated the boards. Here are the storyboards from that projects!

Rivalry Present Animatic

This is the animatic I made for the present act of Rivalry, when Angus and Ziru are now teens. I drew the original storyboards in my sketchbook, after this I could see which shots worked and which didn't and then started the animatic digitally.

This is the part of the film that I animated, I was really happy with how it all turned out. This short film was my first experience as a director and my first time fully animating and colouring one of my stories. It encouraged me to do more with my characters and expand my skills like drawing backgrounds.

Blue Kitchen Soup

Blue Kitchen Soup is a short animation I did in university, the main focus of the project was to see how three colours can be used to emotionally portray an environment, situation and character. The colours I received were Russett, Amber and Blue; so blue was used as the environment while Russett was used for the character and lastly amber as the situation.
